The UNI EN ISO 14001 is an international standard that sets out the requirements of an Environmental Management System that can be certified by a third-party accredited body in any organization. UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 certification demonstrates that the certified organization has a management system in place to control the environmental impacts of its activities, and is systematically seeking to improve them in a consistent, effective and, above all, sustainable manner.

The international Social Accountability 8000 standard offers a management model that allows organizations adopting it to guarantee ethical behavior, distinguishing themselves for their commitment to sustainable development, with particular attention to social issues. The standard referred to by the certification consists of nine social requirements aimed at ensuring for the organizations implementing this standard a compliance with the ethical parameters throughout their production chain. The chapters covered by the standard are:

• health and safety
• freedom of association, the right to collective bargaining
• discrimination
• disciplinary practices
• working hours
• remuneration
• management system

The UNI ISO 45001:2018 standard certifies the voluntary application, within an organization, of a system that allows to guarantee an adequate control over the health and safety of workers, as well as compliance with legal requirements.
